Summary[]
Hattie is determined to keep her job with Ian. Eddie is overjoyed to see Eibhlin. Rachel has some explaining to do to Michelle. People are unaware of Mark's situation.
A blood transfusion van pulls up on the Square and residents are keen to donate. Rachel wants to talk to Michelle about the previous evening's events but Michelle does not want to know. Eibhlin's surprise return brings joy for Eddie. Dave wants to move some things into Number 25 before he is supposed to - Nick refuses to let him. Hattie is determined to go against her parents wishes to stop her going out and working for Ian. Jim Gillespie, a rep from the brewery, talks to Eddie about refurbishing the Vic alongside the renaming. Eddie is baffled as he does not want the Vic refurbished. Eibhlin wants to talk to Sharon about recent events. Nick takes items from a skip on the Square to flog for money. Sharon admits to Eibhlin that Eddie tried it on with her. Hattie talks to Ian about working for him again. He agrees to give her another shift. Arthur notices a chair on the skip and takes it for himself. Hattie lies to Celestine and claims she is helping Sam make sandwiches for a picnic. Arthur makes more derogatory comments on AIDS sufferers and Pauline agrees to them, making Mark angry. Arthur is quick to realise he has upset Mark and apologises at the Vic over a drink. He is also introduced to Joe at the same time. Celestine realises that Hattie has lied to him and chains the front door so she cannot get back in. He sits and waits for her on the stairs. Eddie tells Eibhlin how much he loves her and wants to marry her - she agrees to the proposal. Hattie tries to get in but cannot. She realises Celestine is waiting for her and rushes over to Ian's flat. She phones home and Celestine demands she returns home immediately.
