A hungover Michelle comes face-to-face with Clyde the next morning. He quickly leaves. Rachel asks questions about her night with Clyde. Dot wants her cleaning job back at the B&B. Frank and Pat initially decide not to give her the job but quickly reconsider when she begs. Eddie realises that Clyde has not posted a letter to the brewery regarding the pub's name change. Sharon reassures Arthur she is going to get justice over Eddie sacking her. Frank visits Grant and Phil about getting Ricky's job back. He is successful. Rachel encourages Michelle to go to the Vic with her for a drink so that they can see Clyde, but when he avoids her, Michelle walks off upset. Ian asks Sam to tell Hattie about an evening job he has for her, but she forgets to tell Hattie. Arthur and Pete learn that the Vic cannot be renamed if enough of the regulars protest against it in writing. They start writing a sample letter of protest, much to Eddie's chagrin. Nick gives Dot grief over her income and lack of direction in stopping him doing drugs. Hattie is annoyed with Sam for not telling her about her evening job. Etta disagrees with her working for Ian. At No.55, Rachel finds Michelle dejected over her attempts to pursue a relationship with an uninterested Clyde. Kathy finds Dot crying in the Square and listens to her troubles, giving advice along the way. Hattie returns from her evening job; Etta having waited up all evening for her return. Etta expresses her disapproval at Hattie having the evening job, which irritates Hattie. She tells Etta that if she objects to what she does, she will find somewhere else to live, as no one will stop her doing what she wants to do. |
