Ricky and Sam remain hopeful they can get Mo's old flat from Frank. Dot searches for extra jobs to pay for her plan to get Nick clean. Sam asks Ian for a job but he refuses to give her one.

Rachel plans a surprise birthday party for Michelle's birthday and asks Pauline to babysit Vicki. Pauline reluctantly agrees. Frank denies Ricky of Mo's flat. A young man, Joe Wallace, looks for work around Albert Square. Ian takes an interest in Joe and thinks he can help him with his business. Rachel invites as many residents as possible to Michelle's surprise party. A bitter Pauline tells Michelle about Rachel's plans for her. Michelle tries to cancel the party but is unable to. Rachel asks if she should invite Clyde to the party. Michelle adamantly says no; she does not want her hopes dashed if Clyde rebuffs her attentions. Pauline upsets Michelle with her ignorance towards Rachel and their living arrangement. Eddie informs Clyde of Michelle's birthday party and gives him the night off to attend. Joe recognises Mark from a HIV trust. Mark claims it was not him he saw. Michelle's party gets underway at 55 Victoria Road. Clyde attends and Michelle is determined to get him by the end of the night. Pauline decides she should apologise to Michelle for her actions and heads to Number 55 to find her. Michelle works her charms on Clyde - he tries to resist but is unable to. They kiss and head upstairs. Pauline cannot find Michelle at Number 55 and walks home. |
