Summary[]

Residents assemble as Charlie's body is driven through the Square and to Number 25. Meanwhile, Frank and Pat worry Sam will not turn up to the blessing. Pete shows Kathy a note from the council which states that Ian is squatting using his flat for the fridge-freezers.

Dot and Ethel stand in the living room as Charlie's coffin is laid for the day of remembrance.

Sam confronts Peggy over letting her be happy.

Eddie receives a phone call from the police station for Dot. Dot is taken to the Vic and learns Nick is in custody.

Peggy is fed up of Ricky and Sam's happiness and demands that Grant and Phil put a stop to it.

Ethel is unimpressed to see Nick back. He learns that Charlie is dead and wonders what he has inherited. Dot tells Nick that Charlie did not have a will, and as she was next of kin, she gets to decide what goes where.

Arthur, Pauline and Pete visit Dot to pay their respects to Charlie.

Nick gets agitated - he needs another drug fix. Dot tells him she wants to help him and agrees to get him drugs from his dealer.
