Dot and the Square are stunned at the news of Charlie's death. The police tell her it was a lorry accident on the M25. Arthur is worried about the floral display competition, causing panic for Mark and Michelle. Arthur gives up trying and leaves it a mess. Mark, Michelle, and Rachel get to work fixing it up in time for the judges' arrival and it us a success as they are very impressed, giving Arthur all the credit. Diane sets off for her month-long fruit picking holiday to France with her college, but Mark has decided not to go, as he is happy enough in the Square. They say an emotional goodbye, but says that she will return in August. Sharon must answer to Eddie's ultimatum and decide her future - Grant or her job at the Vic. Grant proposes and she accepts. She then takes great pleasure in walking into the Vic with her engagement ring, infuriating Eddie, telling him she'll have both Grant and her job at the Vic whether he likes it or not. |
