Summary[]

Pauline is in a mood after work at the café. Mark must convince Diane that he does not still love Gill. Grant is convinced he will get the contract off Alfie.

Ricky's interest in Sam returns.

Alfie denies Grant Clyde's contract and takes him on himself. Clyde visits Royal Albert Hall and begins training.

Mark's mood changes following his argument with Diane. Pauline feels as though his mood has changed because of Gill and becomes determined to get to the bottom of what is wrong.

Alfie tells Grant and Phil he will not hand them the contract, so Grant encourages Alfie to let them find the opponents for Clyde to face.

Diane and Mark both attend counselling and talk about each other.

Violet phones Pete for another date.

Ian's day goes badly when a customer refuses his deal and his car will not start.

Violet and Pete meet up again. He wants to take her to a restaurant, but she wants to meet Ian.

Diane and Mark argue once more after their counselling session.

Pauline meets with Gill at the café.

Pete tells Violet he thinks she is "putting herself on offer".

Pauline tries to get to the bottom of what is up with Gill and Mark but ends up making Gill cry. Gill leaves the café. Mark sees her and admits he has lied to her.
