Linda tells Mick that no matter how far he runs from his problems, they will still be there. Tina gives Gray the run-around of the downstairs rooms of Number 1 as she desperately tries to escape him via the front door. Gray throws his body at her as she makes her way down the hallway. Linda manages to talk Mick out of fleeing. Martin admits that he does not want any more children, upsetting Ruby. Kathy insists to Ian that Sharon does not love him and has married him out of pity. Having murdered Tina, Gray calmly wraps her body in a shower curtain. Denise convinces herself that she is Lucas' weakness. Ruby takes a bottle of vodka to her office to drown her sorrows. Gray is disturbed by Mick as he packs Tina's shrouded body into the boot of his car. He claims Tina got jumpy and absconded. Jack and DCI Arthurs further interrupt Gray wanting to search his house for Tina, fearing she may have broken her bail conditions. Gray allows them to and then drives off to dispose of Tina's body. Martin confides in Stacey over Ruby's desire. Shirley returns to Number 1 and notices Tina's necklace on the floor. She stands on it to hide it from the police, and after seeing the police off, invites Mick for a drink at the Vic. Martin and Ruby reunite in the Square. Fighting tears, Ruby accepts Martin's views and agrees they should not complicate things any further. Ian asks Sharon for an annulment, knowing it is the right thing to do, but she wants them to stay married and convinces him she truly loves him. Linda is thrown to find plane tickets for New Zealand dated for New Year's Day at Number 27. Max states that he wants her new year to begin with care and happiness. Shirley tries to understand what is consuming Mick but before he can talk, Gray interrupts them. He reassures Shirley that Tina is safe and will not be found. The pair thank him for everything, blissfully unaware of her tragic fate. |
