Summary[]
Suki ignites a war, Jack delivers some unwanted news, and as Tina's trust in Gray wavers, she seeks answers.
|
Tina fears the worst as she continues to search for the delivery driver. Gray reassures her they can use character witnesses if they have to. Shirley buys Mick a fancy waistcoat and is encouraged by Gray to give it to her, despite Tina's doubts. Rainie and Stuart prepare to take DI Thompson's body to the crematorium. However, the hearse will not start. Callum insists they let Ben check it over, so they return the coffin to the funeral parlour. Katy checks in on Mick. Mick tells Katy that he lost his temper with Tina the other day. He thinks he is the problem and needs a fresh start. Ian receives another bullet in the post. He thinks his attacker must be local as it was hand-delivered. Stuart asks Callum about DI Thompson and is thrown when Callum reveals one of his work colleagues saw Thompson attending his disciplinary hearing yesterday. Ben hands Suki her hush money. Deciding it is not enough, Suki raises the price for her silence to £100,000. Kim and Patrick are put out by Denise's pleas for a traditional Christmas. A terrified Ben turns to Phil for advice. Katy manipulates Mick into seeing the positives of leaving his family behind, causing him to snap at her. Phil gets Kathy involved in Ben's drama. Kathy wants to know what Ben was doing on the night of Ian's attack. Ben refuses to disclose his whereabouts but promises on Lexi's life that he did not attack Ian. Shirley wraps Mick's waistcoat up and gives it to him. He chucks it on the floor, makes her cry and then wants her gone. Rainie and Stuart open DI Thompson's coffin - it is empty. Tina listens in as Gray comforts Shirley and asks her to stop Tina having any tantrums on Christmas Day. Jack informs Kheerat that the blood found on his van matches that of Ian's. Kheerat has flashbacks to night of Ian's attack and how he threw and beat him against his van. Jack's interrogation towards Kheerat is cut short when Kheerat receives a notification that the call centre's alarm is going off on his phone. Phil stands in the call centre, armed with a baseball bat, and smashes the office up. Kim impersonates Denise at the Vic, personifying her as dreary. Denise walks in on her and recapitulates the importance of a traditional Christmas for Raymond's sake. Suki walks in on Phil destroying the call centre and, unphased by his childish actions, proclaims the games end when she says so. Tina visits Kheerat and explains that Gray reminds her of her abusive ex-girlfiend, Tosh. She asks what he meant when he said Gray was not the good guy everyone thought he was, and wonders if he was capable of killing Chantelle. Kheerat is unsure himself, but reaffirms that Gray is capable of a lot more than more than people think he is. |
