Summary[]
As the search for Ian's attacker continues, a police investigation gets under way, while Jack has a different suspect in his sights and others try to cover their tracks. Callum continues in his own questioning.
Bobby anxiously paces up and down the interview room at Walford Police Station carrying out rituals. Ash informs Kathy and Sharon that the CT scan confirms Ian has a bleed on the brain and he has been sent into surgery. His chances are 50/50. A casual Rainie meets Stuart at the tube station. She seems oblivious to the attack when DCI Arthurs invites them both to the station for questioning. Bobby loses his patience and kicks a chair when questioned by Jack, claiming nobody's listening to him. Peter warns Ben to bag himself an alibi as nobody knows where he was on the night of the attack. Bobby explains to Jack that he has been carrying out rituals of counting to stop bad things from happening throughout lockdown. He went to Imran's on the night and didn't count, so blames himself for the attack. Jack tells DC Birch that Bobby is innocent and needs a mental health assessment. Birch informs Jack that a rental van outside the Vic has been discovered with a blood on it and someone hired it locally. Kheerat looks shaken when he passes the van in the Square with forensics crawling all over it. Honey plans to organise a community Christmas dinner and hires Isaac and Jay as her first volunteers. Max apologises to Linda for being his alibi. Ian has pulled through the surgery. Jack reminds a hopeful Tina that she's still a suspect - her alibi hasn't come through. Billy offers to ask Max to host the community dinner at Walford East for Honey. Rainie tells Callum that she told the police she was at home with Stuart watching Deal or No Deal on the night of the attack. Callum's thrown, reminding her that she couldn't have stated anything more random and the chances of Stuart stating the same is very slim. Jack questions Kheerat on the hired van after finding out the van was leased in his name. Jack asks him if any accidents occurred while he was driving the vehicle. Kheerat denies this. Suki warns Kheerat to be in control. Out of sight, Kheerat makes a phone call arranging to meet someone at the call centre about that 'night'. Stuart and Rainie are jumping for joy when Stuart comes home with the news that he stated the exact same story to the police. Jack warns Max in getting involved with Linda. Kathy suggests that Sharon gets her marriage to Ian annulled. Kathy's thrown when Sharon says she wants to keep Ian's wishes. A hooded figure Kheerat meets at the call centre turns out to Peter. Kheerat tells him about Jack and reminds him that they are each other alibis. |
