Mick and Katy visit the old, abandoned care home. Max sulks over Jack's decision. Linda and Shirley wonder how they can help Mick. Katy and Mick trespass on the care home grounds. Mick tears down a board blockading the door of the home and enters, injuring his hand in the process. Rainie wants Tiffany to track her periods on an app. Stuart reins her in and reminds her if they do not keep Tiffany sweet, there may not be a baby. Ian eavesdrops on their conversation. Suki seethes over Ian's betrayal and vows to Kheerat she will carry out the threats she has made against him. Max pressures Ian into selling the Vic, intending to throw Sharon and Albie out onto the streets and move in himself if he does not. Katy thinks Mick's problems began moving into care. Linda purchases alcohol for a '90s party she has planned to cheer Mick up. Katy jogs Mick's memory with a time a fellow resident, Kevin Grimes, chased him around the care home gardens with a lit sparkler and burnt a hole in his shirt. Mick recalls how she took him back to her house after the incident. Katy insists Kevin later showed up at the house but Mick remembers otherwise, although he agrees to Katy's version of events. Ian is wound up by a comment from Rainie, so gets back at her and Stuart by blurting out their surrogacy arrangement with Tiffany in front of a staggered Whitney. Mick returns home to a '90s decorated flat, courtesy of Linda. Linda is hurt when Mick fails to appreciate the efforts she has gone to for their mini party, and then has to fight back tears when Mick then shuts himself in the bedroom. Sharon learns that Ian intends to sell the Vic and, desperate to keep hold of it, wants him to take a loan out on the chip shop, only to discover it is in negative equity. Promising to stand by his side, Sharon encourages Ian to fight Max's threats and keep a tight grip on the Vic. Max finds a tearful Linda at the playground and takes her to the restaurant so she can talk to him. They end up sharing another kiss in the kitchen, just as Ian walks in and observes them through the shutter. |
