Summary[]
Vinny teases Dotty about their bet over who can start a business first, but when he realises she is in no mood for fun, he backs off and gets her to open up. Later she visits Ian and continues to goad him, and as he grows increasingly uncomfortable, her threats become more intimidating. Mick and Linda agree to wait before telling Shirley and Tina about their plan to sell up.

Vinny tells Dotty that Ruby will not let him DJ at the nightclub until she has a reference. Dotty suggests he throws a house party. Mick asks Billy not to spread the news that his family are leaving the Vic until he has told them himself. Despite having told Kathy already, Billy vows not to not tell anyone. Once Mick has gone, Billy asks Kathy to keep the news quiet, but then learns she has already told people. Ian asks Ben about the CCTV at the Arches and learns there is none. Mitch attempts to apologise to Karen for his actions yesterday, but Billy interrupts their conversation. Mitch leaves, feeling defeated. Habiba's feelings for Jags resurface after seeing him on the market. Ian confronts Dotty over her latest lie and gives her another stern warning. He walks off, feeling victorious, but unaware that Bobby has seen them together. Mick and Linda's plan to tell Shirley and Tina of the move is scuppered when they catch the pair quarrelling. Phil asks Sharon about giving Kayden away. Sharon insists it was for the best because she cannot love him like she loved Dennis. The conversation then turns to Ben and Phil learns his son is deaf. Kheerat needs some extra money for a work deal. Suki suggests getting the money from Dharam Uncle to help. Kheerat is uncertain due to how long it has been since they contacted him, so Vinny suggests he looks after the business whilst they drive up to Middlesbrough and grovel. Kheerat hooks on that Vinny is up to something but thinks he is trying to woo a girl, unaware that Vinny is actually going to host a house party. Bobby checks in on Dotty. Ben visits Phil and Phil tells him he knows that he is deaf. Ben feels humiliated and hastily leaves. Vinny notices Dotty's behavioural shift and checks in on her. She tells him about Ian's secret and is encouraged to keep making him squirm as he will eventually crack. Tina hears of her family's planned move from stallholders and confronts Mick and Linda. Mick and Linda let Shirley and Tina give their opinions on the move and are relieved to hear their support. Callum encourages Ben to talk to Phil. Dotty turns up at Number 45 for dinner. Karen and Mitch clear the air. Ian is uncomfortable with Dotty's presence at the family meal. Ben meets Phil at Number 55. Phil apologises to Ben and writes a note to him, telling him he is proud. They embrace. Dotty tells Ian that she is going to tell Sharon everything when she is finally strong enough to hear the truth. |
