Mick and Shirley discuss what's the next step for Linda, and Mick comes up an idea. Linda demands to know what's being planned behind her back. Shirley calls her paranoid. DC Harvey informs the Beales that nothing unduly concerning was found on Bobby's laptop and he's in the clear. Kathy urges Ian to talk to Bobby, to which he refuses. Bernadette is rude to Billy and feels as if she's the only one concerned about Keanu's whereabouts. Karen is forced to tell her everything. Linda feels as if everybody is plotting against her and turns to Sharon for consolation. Sharon advises her to get it together and save her marriage. Daniel enjoys winding up Stuart and Rainie about his new funeral plans – he wants a Pearly King and Queen from Canning Town to send him off. Rainie does some digging and discovers he's from Kent and is furious with him. Linda discovers that Mick has organised an estate agent to do a valuation on the Vic. She seeks Gray's help on legal advice on saving the place. Jean and Daniel are informed that Daniel has reached the final stages of his cancer and could be looking at only weeks left to live. Dialogue[]
Mick Carter:. Linda, I made a mistake and I should have told you.
Linda Carter: About what? That woman? That estate agent?!
Mick: I'm trying to help you.
Linda: How? By selling The Vic from under me? Taking my home, my money, my bank card last week? [… ]
Mick: I was trying to see if I could sell so we can tell social services that we're moving away with Ollie, take him somewhere where there is no alcohol.
Linda: You lie to my face. You and your mother scheming while I ain't gonna stick around. […] Marriages in this place, right. In a way, it's cursed and it's always the man. […]
Mick: Well, I thought that we were married, you know, in sickness and in health. I thought that we solved each other's problems. […]
Linda: I don't trust you. I don't think you got my best interests at heart.
Mick: Well, you're wrong and you know that's not true.
Linda: I don't think this is working out. […] I'm going to defend myself. I'm a mother. I've got a boy. I got to protect him.
Mick: Linda, you're really scaring me now.
Linda: Mick Carter, I've instructed my solicitors to start divorce proceedings. This marriage is over.
