Summary[]
Sonia throws a party for Bex's last day in Walford, where everyone is surprised by the return of Dot and her granddaughter Dotty. However, thing soon take a downward turn when the pressures of the past few months become too much for Bex to take. Sharon's plan to go to Portugal falls apart, so she begs Jack for help, Whitney is overjoyed to receive a text from Leo and Jean helps Daniel complete his bucket list.
Dot returns to Walford with her granddaughter, Dotty, who is attending university in London. Dot decides to buy her council house with Doctor Legg's money. Callum and Whitney decide to stay friends. Whitney goes on a date with Leo who has used her social media to find out what she likes so he can impress her. Phil is arrested for assaulting Jonno and his passport is seized. Sharon asks Jack for help getting it back so he tells Jonno to change his statement as Phil was provoked by Jonno's homophobic slur and Jonno could be arrested for it. Jonno refuses. Mel tells Sharon that their deal is off if she is not in Portugal by the following night. Daniel meets his former friend, Simon Pratt, but instead of apologising for a time when he kissed Simon's girlfriend, Daniel blames the girlfriend and insults her. Simon reveals that she is now his wife and leaves. Jean tells Daniel off for not apologising. Denise apologises to Sheree. Sonia arranges a leaving party for Bex. At the party, Lisa is concerned for Bex and tells her she knows what she is going through and she does not have to go to university if she does not want to. Bex ignores her and gives a speech, saying she has "made up her mind". She then leaves the party noticed only by Lisa but Lisa is brought back to the party by Louise. Bex writes a suicide note and takes an overdose. The next morning, Sonia does not find the note but is unable to wake Bex. |
