Cindy heads into the B&B and sees Pete. She tells him there is nothing for him to say and heads upstairs. Eddie tells Simon he can keep his job if he provides a solid reason as to why he should say. Simon tells Eddie everything. Eddie allows him to keep his job. Pete heads over to the Vic and tells Simon that he is non-existent to the Beale and Fowler family, and they will do whatever it takes to get rid of him from Walford. Kathy sees Ian and hugs him. Arthur and Pauline irritate each other on the day of their anniversary party at the community centre. Pete tells Arthur, Michelle and Pauline that he wants them to ignore the Butcher family. Arthur and Michelle tell Pete they will be civil with the Butchers but will not ignore them, while Pauline agrees to ignore the family. Cindy heads to the Vic and kisses Simon in the bar as Sharon watches on. Ian attends the anniversary party at the community centre. Everyone is delighted to see him. Pat refuses to attend the party because of her morals. Mo does not recognise Pauline. Frank's presence at the party rubs Pete up the wrong way. Arthur cools the tension. Mark pulls up outside the community centre on his motorbike but then drives off. Arthur announces in his speech that he and Pauline are going on a second honeymoon.
