Summary[]

Carmel is so preoccupied with the first night of the youth club that she misses a meeting to discuss Shakil's funeral, leaving Kush concerned about his mother. Jean jumps to the wrong conclusion after finding a stash of money belonging to Hayley. Meanwhile, Rainie tells Max that they need to be a more convincing couple so they host a slap-up meal for Jack and Mel.

Carmel's youth club plans fail as she has booked the wrong time for the community centre, so she takes the local teens to the café but is concerned when Keegan does not come. Keegan panics when the doorbell rings and grabs a knife. As Carmel enters, he drops it and admits that he fears the gang are still after him and tells Carmel that her youth club will not stop youths carrying knives or bring Shakil back.

Rainie worries that Mel suspects her and Max's relationship is a sham so they put on a convincing show for Mel and Jack, but afterwards, Rainie kisses Max for real.

Jean suggests that the family put money into a jar to pay for bills and later discovers cash Hayley got from using the cab, though is unaware that Hayley wants to save money for her baby, so puts the cash into the jar.
