Summary[]

Keanu starts working at the Arches, only for Keegan's dad Mitch to turn up out of the blue asking for his car to be fixed - and then quizzing him about his family's whereabouts. Ian makes a surprise return from New Zealand and soon confronts Masood about selling samosas in the chip shop. Meanwhile, Ted challenges Bernadette to play a game of chess against Patrick.

Mick and Linda are nervous that Aidan will return so have an alarm installed at the Vic. Mick receives a package but they are relieved to discover it is a framed picture he ordered.

Mitch arrives, taking his van to the Arches where Keanu has started working on a trial. Keanu says the rest of his family have left, but when Mitch goes to the Taylors' flat, Keanu tries to stop Keegan from seeing him. Keegan is shocked to see his father.

Ian returns from New Zealand and is annoyed to discover Masood is selling samosas at the chip shop but he allows it when Mitch orders four. However, he sacks Masood when Masood asks for a cut of the profits. Ian is then shocked but delighted to see Mel.

Ted loses £50 to Patrick in a game of chess but Bernadette wins it back as it is for Ted's fund to travel to Australia. Patrick reveals that he has an internet girlfriend called Chaconia.
