Summary[]

Max is confused by an apparent delay in the arrangements for Abi's funeral, so Jack distracts him by persuading him to go through his dead daughter's belongings - but nothing can prepare him for the bombshell Lauren drops when she arrives. Aidan gets impatient with Vincent over the sale of the Albert, forcing the beleaguered businessman to admit to Kim that they are broke. Masood's samosa empire looks like it will be thwarted when Kathy realises what he is up to. Donna comes up with a money-making plan.


Max tries to find out when Abi's funeral will be but eventually Lauren tells him that it has already happened without him.

Kim takes on Karen as a cleaner, angering Vincent, who tells Savannah, his estate agent, to hurry through a cash sale of The Albert. He tells Aidan that he will have his money in four weeks but Aidan demands an immediate bank transfer and has Vincent beaten up when he refuses. Vincent then goes home and is forced to admit to Kim that he has lost The Albert and has no money.

Masood sells his samosas without Kathy's knowledge, which increases the trade in the chip shop but after Kathy finds out, Masood is forced to tell Mariam that he will be fired for selling them without permission.
