Summary[]
A guilty Max struggles with his conscience, but with Fi putting the pressure on, he manipulates Carmel into helping him get some inside information from the council. The Carters are mortified to discover they will be evicted from the Vic if they cannot pay Grafton Hill for the repairs. Shakil struggles to think of a birthday present for Bex.

Fi tells Max that he needs to use Carmel to get hold of some sealed bids from the council. When Max tells Carmel that he is worried about competitors, she offers to let him see the sealed bids but Max later tells her not to. Bernadette bemoans not having a good mobile phone, so Riley steals Stacey's phone from Martin's car. Ian decides to report Jane as missing as he has heard her voicemail but she did not call. Kathy tells Max about it, so he speaks to Ian, who plays him the voicemail and Max convinces Ian not to report Jane as missing. Max leaves Jane a message warning her not to call Ian or he will get hurt. Jane hears Max talking to Stacey in the middle of the message so she calls Stacey. Bernadette sees the phone ringing and hides it in a drawer. Jane leaves a voicemail, warning Stacey that Max cannot be trusted and that he left her to die in the fire and caused Steven's death. Fi tells the Carters that they have to pay £60,000 so Whitney suggests paying in instalments. Michelle is happy that Tom is not around. Jay is frustrated that Billy is not being paid for funerals. Ben celebrates Jay's ownership of the car lot. |
