Summary[]
Steven prepares a romantic evening with Lauren but just as their night gets started, they are interrupted. Abi feels too guilty to move out of Dot's house so Donna comes up with a plan - with the help of Ben and Jay - hoping to change Abi's mind.

Upstairs in the Vic, Tina wakes up in bed next to a snoring Woody. As she creeps out, clothes in hand, she bumps into a shocked Whitney on the landing. Fi arrives and tells Shirley that she's overstaffed. The only solution is to sack a member of staff. Shirley admits to Sharon that she needs to sack someone. Sharon is shocked but Shirley tells her that Grafton Hill will throw them out unless she does what they say. Upstairs in the Vic, Shirley, Sharon, Whitney, Johnny, Tina and Woody gather around Fi as they discuss who should get the sack. Woody takes charge and decides as bar manager it should be Tracey who goes. Shirley tells him that he can't sack Tracey - she's worked at the Vic for over 30 years. Woody breaks the news to Tracey that she's got the sack. Tracey leaves distraught. Tina warns him to be careful. In the café, Donna tells Ben and Jay that Abi's ignoring her calls. Jay said that he'll have a word with her. At number 25, Abi stares at a text from Donna, asking her if she's told Dot about moving out yet. Abi feels guilty when Dot cooks her breakfast and plans a night in for them. Jay arrives and tells Abi that she needs to be honest with Dot. Abi leaves Donna a voicemail telling her that she's changed her mind about the room. As Abi and Dot play board games, Donna, Ben and Jay arrive to help Abi tell Dot the truth. After a heart to heart, Dot gives Abi her blessing to move out. Dot puts on a brave face as Donna, Jay and Ben help Abi move out. In the café, a giddy Lauren tells Steven that she's got the date through for the final interview. She texts Max to ask him for help to prepare for it. He tells Josh to give it to the other candidate instead. As Steven's working at the restaurant, he receives a text from Max telling him that Lauren will need cheering up later as she didn't get the job. As Steven's preparing a romantic dinner for Lauren, he secretly gets out a condom and pierces it with a safety pin; Lauren arrives and is touched by Steven's romantic gesture. Lauren goes upstairs to put on some sexy lingerie unaware that Josh has arrived downstairs. Although shocked at Josh being there, Lauren is soon thrilled when Josh tells her that she's got a job at Weylands as a Creative Team Assistant. As Steven goes upstairs to see to Louie, Lauren blushes as Josh tells her that he's looking forward to seeing her every day. On Bridge Street a smug Josh tells Max that he's given Lauren a job. Josh warns a fuming Max not to forget that he's in charge. |
