Summary[]
The Carters are hoping for a full pub and a full cash register as they celebrate St Patrick's Day. Martin tells Michelle that the psychiatrist supported Stacey's decision to have another baby, although his sister is not in a mood to celebrate. Kathy pushes Tina to get professional help after a worrying incident with Sylvie. Lauren is still suspicious of Max, so she follows him to work. Meanwhile, Denise is summoned to the Minute Mart head office on Monday.

Tina guiltily heads to work, promising Sylvie that she'll be home later to run her a hot bath. As Tina leaves, Sylvie stirs; confused. In the café, a flustered Tina frantically serves, wanting to get away as soon as she can. Tina arrives home to find a distressed Sylvie cold and crying in the bath. Later, a concerned Kathy heads to see Tina at number 23B and questions how things really are with Sylvie. Tina covers and claims that she'll be back at work tomorrow, but Kathy interrogates the situation further - asking how she is going to continue to cope. Kathy is firm with Tina; she can't provide the proper care that Sylvie needs. Alone again, Tina takes in the flat and replays the events of the day. Coming to an inescapable conclusion, Tina bravely calls Social Services to enquire about putting Sylvie in a home. Bex admits to a frosty Louise that she's told Mrs Lund about how the intimate photo of Shakil got shared. Bex explained that she couldn't help it - Mrs Lund found her in the toilets after Alexandra and Madison attacked her. In Mrs Lund's office, Alexandra flat out denies assaulting Bex, scoffing at the lack of proof. Mrs Lund and Mr Pryce question Madison in the same vein; Madison equally denies any allegations of an assault on Bex. Finally, Louise is summoned. Mrs Lund warns Louise that she's mixing with two girls who could be leading her down an extremely dangerous path. Later, Mrs Lund and Mr Pryce sit down with Bex and explain that if Alexandra, Louise and Madison all stick to their story of denial, there's not a lot the school can do about it. Mrs Lund assures Bex that she's not giving up on this case and reminds her that they're cowards; they won't win. Later, a fired-up Bex crosses with the girls in the toilets and tells them they can forget whatever they have planned for her. Star catches up with Bex and assures her that she's there for her if she needs it. Abi's not convinced that Lauren should be checking up on Max, but Lauren is adamant that they need to know the truth about whether he's really working. Lauren arrives at Canary Wharf and heads to Max's supposed office - it's impressive. Lauren's pleasantly surprised when the receptionist states that she'll inform Max of her arrival. As Lauren waits, she clocks a handsome man struggling with a photocopier and swiftly comes to the rescue. It's a flirty moment as the pair lock eyes. Lauren can't help but be floored by the view from Max's office - Max is more concerned about why Lauren has shown up. Lauren admits that she felt Max was cagey last night; leading her to worry about him potentially being in trouble, too afraid to ask for help. Max declares that prison got him used to keeping his cards close to his chest. Lauren heads off after apologising to Max for doubting him. As Lauren goes to leave, the receptionist hands her a piece of paper - it contains a phone number and is signed, "The photocopier guy'; Lauren struggles to contain her smile. Later, Lauren inputs his number into her phone. In the GP surgery, Michelle is handed a prescription for sleeping pills. On the market, Martin can't help but excitedly tell Michelle that he and Stacey are going to try for another baby; they've been to the psychiatrist and it all sounded positive. Michelle's frosty when Martin questions whether Preston's about - he was going to suggest that he and Bex spend the evening together. Later, Michelle sends Preston a text which reads, "Miss you', before taking one of her sleeping pills. Mick and Whitney admit to Johnny that they're going to rig the raffle later at St Patrick's night in the Vic - Dot's going to win the night of free booze. Whitney's extremely stressed in the kitchen and things don't improve when she finds Lady Di sampling some of the Irish stew. As the night gets underway, Mick draws the raffle and declares Dot as the winner - his face falls as Dot explains that she bought her ticket for Patrick as a thank you for helping her sell her car. After Lady Di throws up the Irish stew she ate earlier, the punters hastily exit - the night's been ruined. Denise tells Patrick that she's had a call - she's been summoned to the Minute Mart head office on Monday. Patrick admits that he mentioned Denise's suspension to Yolande and alludes to the fact that she'll put in a good word for her. |
