Summary[]

Denise heads to hospital with Patrick by her side to be induced, but as she goes into labour, she gets more than she bargained for when Kim arrives. Mick secretly tells Lee to return the present Whitney got him as they need the money. Meanwhile, Bex is torn between going off to college or staying at sixth form to do A-levels.

Denise gives birth to a boy, while Kim returns with their mother, Emerald; both are shocked to hear of Denise's adoption plan and Kim begs her to reconsider. When Patrick says a couple is already ready, Kim calls Denise cold-hearted. Kim confronts Carmel in the Vic, assuming she knew, so everyone hears of Denise's plan, including Sharon, who tells Michelle that Phil has to know he is the father. Emerald is given hope when she discovers that Denise will have time to change her mind. Denise holds the baby, telling him that she loves him but he deserves things she cannot give him.

Lee is shocked when Whitney buys Mick an expensive birthday present. Babe confronts her, saying that she is causing more problems and she is not good for Lee. Whitney accuses her of being jealous and tells her to back off.

Bex is unsure about going to college as she will miss Shakil but, after Keegan spitefully says Shakil will find someone else, she decides to remain at sixth form and study A Levels.
