Summary[]

Cindy is rushed to hospital as she goes into labour five weeks early, while Pete and Kathy tensely wait to hear if the birth will proceed normally.

Ian anxiously waits at the hospital with Pete for an update on Cindy. The midwife informs Ian that Cindy is about to give birth, and he can go with her.

Barbara searches for Kathy to tell her that Cindy is giving birth. She finds Kathy at her flat. Kathy gets dressed and heads to the hospital.

Mo complains to Frank about the rubbish at back of the B&B.

Cindy successfully gives birth and Ian informs Kathy and Pete. However, as the baby is five weeks early, it is kept in an incubator.

Simon gets touchy whenever he hears about Cindy's new-born. Pat notices Simon's behaviour and confronts him over it - he still thinks the baby is his. Frank insists that Sharon and Simon go and visit the baby at the hospital. Simon tries to find an excuse not to go but is unable to.

Pat bonds with Barbara over Pete.

Pauline returns home from hospital.

Cindy sends Ian and Sharon to get her a drink so that she can talk to Simon. She takes him to see their son.

Kathy worries when she returns home that the baby may not survive because of how premature it is.

Ian and Sharon return and toast to the future together with Cindy and Simon.
