Summary[]
Vincent attempts to get his life back on track but soon finds himself in a compromising situation. Carol turns to an unexpected person for help.
|
Carol enters the café and apologises to Ian and Jane for her drunken behaviour the previous night. Carol muses that even after everything he's done, Phil is a free man because he has Ritchie as a lawyer. Carol heads over to the Mitchells and begs Phil for Ritchie's number, but Phil outright refuses to help. Sharon finds Carol in the café and apologises for Phil being harsh – she suggests that she has a solicitor she could set Carol up with. Carol's keen to meet her and persuades a reluctant Jane to come along to the meeting. Sharon introduces Carol and Jane to Margaret. Margaret announces, to Jane's horror, that she needs to speak to Carol alone. Sharon talks an unimpressed Phil round – reminding him that they should care more about who killed Lucy than about getting back at Max. Later, Carol questions Jane over what has convinced her that Max is innocent – Jane snaps that he didn't do anything, before disappearing home. A panicked Jane fills Ian in, convinced that she's let something slip to Carol. Later, Jane's calmed down, asking how could Carol possible know anything. As Jane takes out the rubbish, she sees a police car pull up outside Carol's – she and Carol make eye contact and a paranoid Jane falls to pieces. Shabnam suggests to Kush that it'd be good for them to try for their own place, but Kush doesn't think they'd be able to afford a deposit. As Shabnam browses property websites, Masood suggests that Shabnam and Kush could move in with him – but Shabnam clocks that he's only saying it to be kind. When Kush arrives, Shabnam informs him that she's made a decision; she's happy for them to move in with Carmel. A conversation with Tamwar makes Kush question how happy Shabnam really is with the decision to move to Essex. Kush halts an excitable Carmel by telling her that he and Shabnam have decided to stay in Walford - but if they're going to find their own place, they're going to need to borrow some money. Shabnam's pleasantly surprised when Kush informs her that he's told Carmel that they want their own place - before producing the keys to the flat he's found on the Square. A concerned Les finds a note from Pam that reads that she's gone to Mim's. Paul tries to reassure Les that there could be a rational explanation, but as soon as Les leaves, his façade drops. Les leaves a voicemail for Pam, asking her to call him. Paul's unimpressed when Les informs him that Claudette came round earlier and had admitted that she'd noticed that Pam has been acting strange lately. Paul comes clean – he told Pam about him and Claudette. Les is devastated and tries to persuade Paul that he's got the situation wrong but Paul is unsympathetic. |
