Summary[]
Pete and Ian make moves to bury the hatchet with Laurie. Trevor tries to tell Diane of Paul's Christmas plans. Marge returns from her mother's funeral.

Arthur receives a Christmas card from Mark. He excitedly takes it to the hospital to show Pauline. Trevor continues to fail at trying to tell Diane that Paul is leaving. Pete calls a truce with Laurie. Ian tells Kathy he wants him and Cindy to spend Christmas with her and Laurie. An environmental health officer visits the café to inspect it following a tip-off from Doctor Legg. She closes the café down and tells Ian he must get the seal around his fridge-freezer fixed and the hot water sorted before he can reopen. Ian sends the environmental health officer in the Vic's direction afterwards. Ashraf is stunned when Sufia returns with a new makeover. He takes her home and has a go at her for changing her looks. Trevor finally tells Diane that Paul is leaving. She gets upset and hurls insults at Trevor. Marge finally breaks down over her mother's death as the reality hits that she has gone. Paul says goodbye to Julie but tells her he cannot face saying goodbye to Diane. Diane catches Paul leaving the hair salon and chases after him, but she is too slow and he gets the bus before she can get to him. Diane cries and wonders who she can turn to. Hazel and Rod tells Dot they want her to spend Christmas with them. Danny makes an unexpected appearance at Michelle's flat. She is happy to see him, until he gives her a Christmas card which is addressed to her but has the wrong card inside. Pete is thrilled when Barbara, a woman he met in New Zealand, arrives to spend Christmas with him. |
