Vince is organising the Christmas party for Walford's OAPs. Arthur gets bad news about Pauline. Ian's café is under threat. Ashraf hides a guilty secret.

Diane wants to go Christmas shopping with Paul, but he tells her he is busy. Cindy reads Diane's horoscope and thinks that Paul is planning to propose to her on Christmas Day. Sufia writes a note for Ashraf and walks out. Dot feels sorry for Marge, although Marge appears to have gotten over her grief. Vince and Trevor decorate the community centre in preparation for the Christmas party for the OAPs of Walford. Diane tells Shireen about Paul's plans to propose. Rod considers moving away from Albert Square after the Christmas holidays. He tells Hazel he wants her to go with him. Ian learns that his food supplier has cancelled orders until further notice. He worries that customers think he is poisoning them after a number of residents fall ill from suspected out-of-date chicken sandwiches. Ashraf returns home to find Sufia's letter. Paul tells Trevor he is going to go back to Leeds to spend Christmas with his family. Arthur continues to worry about Pauline, who is being kept in hospital longer than planned. Diane shows Trevor the engagement ring she wants Paul to get her. Trevor panics but is unsure what to say to her. Michelle phones Danny's wife after not hearing from him for over three weeks. He phones her back almost immediately afterwards. Julie sings at the OAPs Christmas party. Ian asks Pete if he still loves Kathy. Pete admits he does, but has moved on, just like Kathy has. The Christmas tree lights are switched on in the Square. Ashraf tells Frank that Sufia has gone missing. |
