Summary[]
Pauline is frustrated to find out her hospital appointment has been postponed. Julie has dire news for both Michelle and Marie. Dot is pleased that Rod and Hazel have reconciled and will continue to live with her. Marge is a local celebrity after her interview with the Walford Gazette about her recent mugging, as she is in the day's newspaper.

Pauline prepares for her hospital appointment, but receives a setback when she learns it has been postponed due to an emergency. Danny apologises to Michelle for the previous night's events. Dot sees a rat among rubbish on Bridge Street and screams. She tells the residents about her experience. Julie tells Michelle she is going to need to get rid of someone at the hair salon as most of the money she makes is going on wages. Frank catches Ricky smoking. He tells Ricky he is going to stop and vows to help him quit too. Danny phones his wife from Turpin Way's phone box. Dot calls a meeting at the launderette about the rat she encountered. The residents mock her. Laurie wants Kathy to meet his family and arranges a date for them. Marie talks to Diane about Julie's plans to fire a member of staff, wondering if it will be her. A woman arrives at the Vic in search of Ashraf. Simon gets jealous when he catches Sharon flirting with the customers. He pulls her up on her behaviour. Arthur and Frank prank Dot by making Arthur look like he has been attacked by a rat. They receive a shock themselves though when they then see a rat on the roof outside. Simon informs Marge that the muggers who attacked her have killed a woman. Danny overhears Simon telling Marge and phones the police from phone box. He then packs his bags and leaves. Once he has, Michelle receives a phone call from the police - they want to talk to Danny. |
