Look Back in Anger was an episode that aired during the 30th Anniversary and was broadcast live.

Summary[]

With the truth about Lucy now out, certain residents are left to face the brutal facts about her death. Many other secrets have also been revealed for other residents.

Stacey, Martin and Kush bash the door in of Number 23 where they find Nick slumped in an armchair - he is dead. Charlie and Dot walk in shortly after and are speechless to catch their unsuspecting guests inside.

The Beales panic as they try to comprehend Lauren's card. Peter thinks that Denise killed Lucy.

Mick asks Nancy to keep an eye on the Vic as he has seen Dean in the Square.

Ian decides he is going to confront Denise alone.

Max and Tanya reel from their confrontation with Abi.

Martin hunts Ian before he can get to Denise and claims something is wrong with Dot. Sharon gives Phil an ultimatum over his questionable behaviour and walks off into the Square, where Ian and Martin are. They inform her something is up with Dot and all head to Number 25, where Dot wants to see Ian and Sharon alone.

Cindy becomes agitated over Lauren's card and starts asking questions. Jane tries to reassure her.

Denise misinterprets comments from Kim at the Vic and snaps, upsetting her. A half-cut Kat stumbles in to join the wedding celebrations.

Peter heads towards the Vic in search of Ian but is stunned to learn from Ben and Jay that he is not in there.

Denise reluctantly follows Kim to the ladies' toilets and attempts to make amends, but is unsuccessful.

Max and Tanya lay into each other.

Shirley catches Phil outside the Vic and strikes a nerve with comments about Max.

Dot explains to Ian and Sharon that she let Nick die and she can now make her peace.

Kim goes into labour in the ladies' toilets.

Charlie, Fatboy, Kush, Martin and Stacey wait in the living room of Number 25 for an update on Dot. Ian and Sharon promptly enter and opt for a cover-up.

Kat makes snide remarks towards Sonia upon catching sight of her and then shoves her face into the wedding cake. Denise calls for an ambulance and summons Sonia to the toilets for assistance. Mick returns from an unsuccessful hunt for Dean, unaware he is lurking in the shadows on Bridge Street. The ambulance is delayed for Kim, so she gives birth to a baby girl in the toilets and names her Pearl.

Phil drives to a location in London alone and waits for someone.

Carol and Les are taken to Number 25 and dragged into the cover-up.

A drunken Kat is found by Martin and Stacey in the Square gardens. Stacey asks Martin to help her escort Kat home.

Dean sneaks into the Vic's cellar with a can of petrol in his hand.

Tanya finds Jane and explains she will not be at the wedding as she is leaving now.

Mick catches Ian staring bleakly at Number 45, and works out from his behaviour that he knows who killed Lucy.

Martin and Stacey put Kat to bed. Martin misinterprets Stacey's kindness as something more and goes to kiss her. She evades him and he awkwardly leaves.

A police car pulls up outside Number 25. Dot admits she called them. DI Keeble asks Dot to take her to Nick's body.

A cab pulls up at the location where Phil is. Kathy comes out of it.

The paramedics arrive and take Kim to hospital. Denise wants to go with her but Kim refuses to let her, still upset at her hurtful comments.

Kathy begs Phil to let her return home, but he will not listen. She receives a phone call and hastily leaves after repeating her plea.

Nancy is lured to the cellar by the scent of petrol. Dean grabs her and covers her mouth.

Peter finds Denise in the Square and accuses her of murdering Lucy. Ian corrects him - it was not Denise.

Dean loosens grip on Nancy's mouth and she screams for Mick. He hears her and upon entering the cellar comes face-to-face with Dean. Dean lets Nancy go and turns his attention to Mick. Mick smacks him to the ground with a fire extinguisher and rams his foot on Dean's throat, choking him. Nancy panics and hits her father with a crate to stop him hurting Dean any further, but Dean lies lifeless on the floor.

Ian phones Number 45's landline from the café. Cindy, Jane and Peter all eye the phone up. Someone answers and Ian tells them he knows they killed Lucy. He asks them to remove everyone else from the house as he is coming to see them.

Dot is arrested for the murder of Nick and taken away in a police car.

Ian arrives at Number 45 and demands to know from Jane exactly what happened on the night Lucy died.
