Summary[]
Johnny makes an unexpected announcement. Kush makes it his mission to change Shabnam's mind about Christmas. Dean drops a bombshell.

Ben is hostile when Johnny asks if they can be mates. Stacey and Linda meet in the park and talk. Stacey advises Linda to tell her family what has happened, she wishes she had - she thought she could cope but look what she did to Archie. Linda fears that Mick would do the same thing and explains that, years ago, in Watford, a punter had a thing for her and Mick lost it and battered him. Linda worries that she won't ever feel the same about sex with Mick but Stacey promises her that it just takes time. When Linda gets home, Johnny reveals that he is deferring university for a year and going travelling with Gianluca - he is leaving tonight and spending Christmas in Italy. Linda is upset but tells Johnny to go and have an adventure. Nancy is gutted and does not want Johnny to go but he assures her that she will be fine. After an emotional goodbye with the family, Johnny gets on his moped. Linda gives him a scarf to keep him warm on his travels. He tells her that she is an amazing mum who holds the family together and the baby is lucky. After one last hug, Johnny drives away. Stacey passes by and Linda thanks her for listening. Linda says that she is going to tell Mick, unaware Dean is watching. Later, Dean confronts Linda, accusing her of being jealous and destroying things with Stacey. He tells her to stop acting the victim, asking how her children would feel if they knew the truth. Lee walks in and Dean says there is something he should know. Linda begs Dean to stop, but Dean tells Lee that Linda has been lying to them all - she and Mick aren't really married - then walks out leaving Linda shaken. Fatboy challenges Kush - £20 if he gets a proper kiss from Shabnam by the end of the day. Shabnam won't let Masood and Tamwar have a Christmas tree so Kush offers her a deal, he'll show her three Christmas traditions and if she enjoys one of them the boys get their tree. Shabnam is unimpressed with tradition one - a cracker - and tradition two - children carol signing - definitely doesn't melt her heart. For number three, Kush decorates the Minute Mart and puts up some mistletoe. He makes Shabnam close her eyes then briefly loses his nerve and kisses her on the cheek before finally kissing her on the lips. Shabnam's left smiling. However, Kush lies to Fatboy and Dexter that he didn't get his kiss. Lauren finds Max passed out on the sofa. Emma shows Lauren the video and asks why she lied. Lauren gets defensive and storms out. Lauren accuses Emma of using the family and spying. When Emma threatens to take the footage to the police, Lauren says that she went to Lucy's because she wanted a drink - it was a hard night and Lucy's the only one that understood and she was worried because Lucy had been acting weirdly that day. Lauren insists she didn't tell the police because she didn't see Lucy and Emma says she believes her. Later, Max tells Emma that he's been an idiot, he was selfish and weak but didn't want to lose her. Emma packs and is on the verge of leaving, but changes her mind despite her fear that it isn't going to end well. Max kisses Emma and Lauren's pleased. Later, Emma proposes that after having a nice Christmas Day they should show Keeble the video. Emma reminds Lauren that she's innocent so has got nothing to be scared of but Lauren looks terrified. Dot's disgusted with Nick and accuses him of corrupting Yvonne. Dot insists she looks at Nick now and feels nothing. She threatens to tell Charlie but when it's revealed he's bought Nick's ferry ticket and he'll be gone on Boxing Day, Dot decides to keep quiet about what she saw. Jane rejects Ian's suggestion that they make the most of their empty house. But later, she borrows Kush's mistletoe, heads home and kisses Ian, making Bobby smile. |
