Alan tries to pester Ali again but does not get a response from him. Sharon and Simon work on the Vic for the talent show taking place in the evening. Ali decides to bet on the horses again to try and win some of the money he owes to Alan. Diane and Paul double up for the talent show. Pete lowers his prices on his fruit and veg stall, while Laurie does the same. Ian tells Simon he thinks something is wrong with Cindy. Ali wins £500 on the bets. Simon talks to Pat about Cindy. Pat realises that Cindy has told him she is having his baby. She tells Simon not to believe what she has told him. Sharon kicks off the talent show with her singing. Ethel and Reggie then dance. Ali convinces Alan, Laurie and Vince to participate in a poker match at his flat. Julie sings at the talent show. Diane and Paul then perform their act, although they do not receive a positive reception from the audience. Cindy desperately tries talking to Simon again but he is not interested and tells her to leave him alone. Trevor performs a magic trick act, while Frank strips for the audience, shocking Pat. Once all the acts have performed, Julie is announced the winner. Cindy tells Ian she will marry him. Ali goes up against Alan in the poker match and bets all his money during one of the rounds. Alan raises the bet further before presenting his cards to Ali. Ali freezes upon seeing them. |
