Summary[]
Life is looking rosy for Ian, but his fiancée, Cindy seems unable to share his optimism. As the Queen Vic talent night draws near, Ethel and Trevor are both in a dilemma as to what to perform, while Marge and Dot are more concerned with their ancient dance practice.

Dot buys a cauliflower from Pete's stall for £1.50. Pete promises her she will not get it cheaper elsewhere, so she tells him she wants her money back if she does find it cheaper somewhere else. Dot learns she can get her cauliflower cheaper at Laurie's stall! Cindy remains distant towards Ian. Ian asks Rod to cover for him at the café and then disappears. Cindy visits Michelle and begins asking her questions about when she gave birth. Ali hides in the launderette from Alan. Marge searches for a dance partner for the upcoming talent show. Ethel asks Trevor if he will be Marge's dance partner. Dot demands her £1.50 back from Pete and then tells his customers that they can get their fruit and veg cheaper at Laurie's stall. Ian returns to the café and tells Ethel that he has set the date for his and Cindy's wedding. Kathy notices Cindy is not herself and they talk. Ali is caught by Alan, who tells him that his £900 late rent payment will have interest added to it. Trevor bails on Marge for their dance practice at the community centre, so Dot practices with her, although she ends up disagreeing with Marge on who should be the male dance partner. Cindy wants to talk to Simon but Sharon interrupts them. Ian tells Kathy about the wedding date. Kathy is taken aback when she realises Ian has set the date without telling Cindy. Cindy gets Simon to herself in the Vic after hours. She tells him that he is the father of her baby and that she loves him, not Ian. Simon is speechless. |
