Summary[]

Chaos descends on the Butcher household as Carol and David's wedding day arrives. Stan makes Dean an offer he can't refuse. Sharon tries to talk to Ian.

It is the day of Carol and David's wedding. Bianca heads upstairs to see David whilst he gets ready for the wedding. He tells her that there is nothing he wants more than to make today the best day of Carol's life. Sonia enters and tells David that they are missing a traditional 'something blue'. David heads out to find Carol a 'something blue' surprise. While he is out, Carol asks Liam whether he will walk her in to the wedding - he agrees. Bianca assures a concerned Liam that David will not let Carol down again. David heads to Winston's record stall to look for 'Misty Blue' by Dorothy Moore, but Winston does not have the correct record. Nikki comes over while he's browsing and calls David tragic for living in the past. She riles him by telling him that they could have had something and that it's not too late. David shoves Nikki into some surrounding rubbish, mimicking Bianca's actions the previous day. David frantically searches for where may have 'Misty Blue' in stock. David tells Sharon that he can't find the record store he's after in Shadwell - she tells him it's moved to Hoxton and so he decides to head there. Carol emerges down the stairs in her wedding dress and new wig. It's less than half an hour until they need to leave for the wedding - Bianca and Sonia keep desperately trying to call David but to no avail. Bianca goes looking for David in the Vic - Stan tells her that he and Dean saw him heading for the tube about an hour before. Whitney returns from also searching with no luck. Carol sits sombrely waiting in the back of the car, beginning to doubt David. David runs from the tube station, whilst Sonia leaves him a panicked voicemail. David tears down George Street, up Bridge Street and starts to suffer from chest pains. Morgan is sat in the kitchen, when Tiffany comes in and notices that Carol has forgotten her 'something borrowed' - the wedding cake topper. Morgan grabs it to take out to Carol and in doing so, drops and smashes it. As David heads towards the Square gardens his pains get worse. He falls to the floor by Arthur's bench. Carol has given up and gets out of the car. She heads off, while David writhes in pain on the ground of the Square gardens.

Shirley overhears Mick on the phone to Stan about the money that Stan wants back. Shirley tells Mick that it wasn't a loan - Stan owed them that for all the grief he put them through. Stan and Dean head to court together. Shirley desperately tries to convince Linda that they should not have to find Stan his money - he'll just use it to gamble. Mick interrupts and tells them that actually, Stan is going to use the money to help set Dean up on his own. Stan returns from court - he's been let off with a fine and a curfew. Stan tries to persuade Dean to set his business up in Walford - Dean is not so sure. Shirley tells Mick that it feels wrong that he is stumping up money for her son - it should be her. Mick asks Shirley why she let him believe that it had been their mum who had tried to drown him. Shirley tells Mick that he wouldn't stop crying and she was just a kid bringing up kids. Shirley asks Mick if he wants her to leave. He replies that what he wants is no more lies. Shirley tells Mick that she'll sort the money - she has a few debts she needs to call in.

Lola finds a bag of fish that Billy has stolen from the chippy. Lola is appalled when Billy tells her that it's a 'perk of the job' and tells him to get rid of it. Billy tries to flog the stolen fish to the Butchers' - they decline. He leaves the Butchers' to see Honey on the Square with Janet and William. Peter, Lola and Lexi visit Ian - he tells them that they don't need to check up on him. In the kitchen, Ian tells Peter not to let a good thing like he and Lola slip away. Sharon knocks on Ian's door - he ignores her at first but eventually lets her in. She is concerned and asks him why he is locking himself away. He assures her that he is taking small steps at a time. Later, Ian grabs a prescription and heads to the pharmacy.
