Summary[]
Pauline is depressed after her accident, and Arthur is doing his best to look after her but has many other things to take care off. Pat is dreading her appointment with Janine's teacher. Cindy gets into trouble at work for being adventurous. Pat discovers there is a hitch in Frank's plan to buy a bed and breakfast place. Hazel and Rod insist that Dot listens to the facts about Hazel's circumstances.

Simon focuses on the talent night for the Vic. Pauline worries about her recent fibroid diagnosis at the hospital. Kathy supports her. Janine's teacher tells Pat that Janine is struggling to fit in with the rest of the class. She then asks her how her behaviour is at home, Pat admits that Janine is a handful. Cindy arrives at Julie's hair salon for her hair to be dyed. She messes up and Cindy's hair ends up red. Pat talks with Mo about her meeting with Janine's teacher. Mo tells Pat she is going to take Janine up to see Clare. Pat thinks against the idea. Cindy heads back to work at the Vic, where she is made fun of by customers over her hair colour. Cindy gets angry over the comments made about her hair. Simon gives her a warning Arthur smothers Pauline in attention. Arthur and Frank make up. Kathy apologises to Laurie for snapping at him the other evening. Dot tells Cindy she likes her hair, but Cindy mistakes her compliment for sarcasm and snaps at her in front of the customers. Simon fires Cindy for her behaviour. Hazel tells Dot that Nick beat her up. Dot tells her she can stay with her. Pete returns from his travels and learns about Pauline's health problems. Hazel is keen to get her jewellery stall running, but Rod tells her that they have to wait for a stall to become available. Dot tells Pete about Laurie running a fruit and veg stall across the market. He is unhappy about the situation. He then heads over to the Vic to find Kathy, wanting to give her a present. He notices her with a man and asks Simon who he is - Simon tells him it is Laurie. |
