Summary[]
Arthur and family are worried about Pauline who is in hospital following her accident. Illegal driver Ricky locks himself in his room. Dot is upset when she finds that Rod and Hazel have been deceiving her. Cindy returns from holiday and wonders about her future at the the Vic. Sharon has a bright idea to boost the takings. Ali wonders if Laurie can help him out with work. Michelle has a heart-to-heart with Pauline.

Frank tries talking to Arthur, who has hidden himself away from the Square. Ricky locks himself in his room and does not come out, despite Diane and Pat's best efforts. Dot returns home to find Rod with Hazel. She realises that she has been staying in her house and is not happy with Rod. Arthur phones the hospital and learns Pauline is being released at lunchtime. Marie worries about the situation. Ricky finally comes out of him room, relieving Diane and Pat. Cindy returns from Devon. Kathy and Michelle tidy Arthur and Pauline's house in preparation for Pauline's return home. Sharon and Simon decide to host a talent night at the Vic and phone the brewery to ask them if they will donate a prize. They tell Sharon they do not give out prizes, but will give them extra barrels of alcohol to increase profits. Hazel and Rod try talking to Dot, but she is reluctant to hear them out. Frank is calmed upon learning Pauline is being released from hospital so soon. Pauline returns home battered and bruised. Cindy wonders where she stands in the Vic and asks Pat, who tells her it is none of her business. Ricky decides to face Pauline. Ali and Laurie talk about their love lives. Hazel moves out of Dot's house. Kathy informs Pauline that Pete is returning home soon. Ian tells Cindy he has been to the registry office and they are set to wed the week after next. She wonders where her say was in the situation. Pauline tells Michelle that Ricky hitting her was a good thing, as the doctors have found something wrong with her, and she has to go back into hospital for more tests soon. |
