Ian is forced to choose between the business and family. Kat helps Jean finds some tranquillity when the pressure of her secret gets too much for her.

Carl insists on having a table reserved for his use at Scarlett's. With Carl demanding another instalment in a couple of days, Ian begs Lucy for money but she's adamant Ian's only option is to sell Scarlett's; reluctantly, Ian agrees. Ian and Joey argue about Lucy. Ian's annoyed when Peter's unable to persuade Jean to return to Scarlett's. Peter recruits Abi as a waitress. Peter's curious when a mysterious visitor delivers some paperwork to Ian. Lucy's devastated when Joey brings another girl into the cafe and tells her they're over. Ian comforts Lucy and offers to sort out the businesses. Trusting, Lucy signs the 'insurance' paperwork Ian hands her. Ian then takes the paperwork to his solicitor, who confirms all the businesses are now back in his name... Kirsty continues to hassle Abi to persuade Max to talk to her. Carl flirts with Kat to make Kirsty jealous then claims to Kirsty he just wants to be friends. Max warns Kirsty not to use Abi to get to him. Kirsty tries to persuade him to come back to the flat, Max insists it's not going to happen. Cora's unimpressed when Patrick finds it impossible to break up with Betty. However, after some advice from Dexter, Patrick finally manages it and triumphantly tells Cora he only wants her. An agitated Jean wants Kat; Kat reassures her she doesn't have to return to the restaurant. Jean takes some time out at the allotment but ends up locking herself in the shed, overwhelmed by Ollie's constant talking. When she emerges, Jean finds a note 'sorry' pinned to a fork and feels bad. Dot's distressed when her latest church roof fundraising venture - asking people to double ten pounds - fails. Alfie suggests holding a speed dating night at the Vic to raise money. |
