|
Pat agrees to let Janine live at the Vic. They tell Diane and Ricky the news. Ashraf is unimpressed with the work Paul and Trevor have done. Pauline is told she is overworking herself, so she quits her job at the Vic. Frank and Pat wonder who to hire in her place. They both think Sharon is the best fit for the role. Matthew leaves early from work to keep an eye on Carmel. He finds books on domestic violence at the flat and is furious to realise she has bought them for his benefit. Cindy does not like Sharon receiving a permanent role at the Vic, knowing it scuppers her chances of getting Simon to herself. Pat realises she is pregnant and tells her she knows. Matthew decides to get Junior to help him cook a meal for Carmel, so that they can show her how much they appreciate her. Frank and Pat hold a party for Janine's arrival. Carmel returns from work and appreciates the meal. At the table, Junior gives her his school report. She is unhappy with it and talks to him about it. Cindy digs at Sharon as they work together behind the bar. Junior makes a remark about Carmel cooking food for David. Matthew thinks the information has confirmed his suspicions that she has been having an affair and gets brutal with her. Junior stands up to Matthew in an attempt to keep Carmel safe. Frank and Pat are delighted to see Janine settling in well. An ambulance races through the Square and pulls up outside Carmel and Matthew's flat. |
