Desperate for answers, Alfie finally pieces together Kat's web of lies and deceit. The hens join the stags over at the Vic.

Alfie follows Kat and, after being waylaid by the drunken hens, watches her enter the bedsit. Kicking the door open, he takes in the lit candles and rose petal strewn bed. Alfie searches the flat but Kat's lover isn't there. Pinning Kat against a wall, he demands to know where the man is. Alfie reminds Kat that she claimed her lover lived miles away. Kat insists that was the only lie. The affair's over but he kept pestering her and threatened to tell Alfie. Alfie brings up the key then pulls out her mother's ring and asks her how her lover knew about it if she hasn't seen him. When Kat insists that she hasn't seen him alone, Alfie realises it's someone he knows. Alfie's determined to stay until the man arrives. Spotting the rental agreement lying nearby, Kat grabs and sets fire to it. Alfie fights Kat, picks up the flaming paperwork and sees the name Mr Branning. Suddenly everything clicks into place for Alfie - the football, his Germany trip. Kat reminds Alfie that she begged him not to go to Germany and says that the man came knocking but she didn't let him in. She refuses to tell Alfie which brother it is. She pleads with him. Alfie insists that she makes him sick and strides off towards the Vic to find out the truth, leaving Kat searching for her phone. At the pub, the Branning brothers deny everything. The girls are sympathetic to a distraught Alfie. One of the Brannings' phones rings - it's Kat. When Alfie answers, Kat panics and starts running towards the Vic. Everyone's shocked when Alfie returns the phone to its owner - Max. Alfie flies at Max. Kat bursts in and stops Alfie - it's not Max. Alfie asks who it is and Kat points at a smug Derek. |
