Summary[]
Kat decides Alfie's recruitment process for the Queen Vic football team is not working and decides to approach Walford's men for one-on-one negotiation. Lola wants answers about who reported her to the police. Meanwhile, Joey is still uninterested with Derek and tries to put Alice off spending time with him.

Joey wants Alice home for tea as their gran's visiting and tries to convince her that Derek's using her, reminding Alice that Derek never sent her any birthday cards. Lauren and Whitney giggle about Joey and are convinced that Joey and Lucy fancy each other. Joey bristles to discover Derek's asked Max for a job and has asked Kat for a spot on the football team on his behalf. Alice learns that Joey lied about their gran's visit to trick her into going home. Michael offers Joey a bar job - he's the last person Derek would ask a favour of. Joey tells Derek that he wants nothing from him - it's too late. Derek retaliates that Joey's not worth bothering about. Joey accepts the barman job, shaking Michael's hand as Derek watches. Kat takes over the Vic football team as Alfie's failed to recruit any players. She flirts with Jack, Ray, Derek and Max, and proudly produces a long list of names. Alfie's amused - now they have too many players. Lola's furious, convinced Jay grassed on her to the police. Phil defends Jay to Lola. Jay's perplexed as to who reported Lola, then stares at Lucy, suspicious. Lola's taken to the police station and charged when her fingerprints are found at the car lot. Jay confronts Lucy, who protests she was protecting her and Bobby. Lola's released with a court date. Sasha's unimpressed by Kim's clumsy efforts to help her in the charity shop and is mortified when she teases that Sasha fancies Fatboy in McKlunky's. Cora suggests that Kim should research Sasha's interests. Kim tells Sasha about a friend who works in a hospital in forensics. Sasha's excited and wants Kim to arrange her work experience. |
