Phil waits with a devastated Shirley for news on Jay and Ben's police interviews as they stick with their version of events. Andrew panics after speaking to Detective Crisp.

Rose lies that she and Andrew were playing bridge all afternoon. At the police station, Andrew tells DS Crisp he and Heather planned to elope. Crisp tells Andrew Rose's statement contrasts with witnesses placing him at the Vic. Crisp brings up Andrew and Heather's argument in R&R and Andrew's time in prison for GBH. Crisp presents Andrew with the empty envelope and his train ticket. Although Andrew insists the wedding money was stolen by a tramp, Crisp accuses Andrew of stealing it and arrests him for Heather's murder. Dot and Cora are intrigued by police sirens on the Square. Cora tells Dot she was mugged once. Patrick breaks the news that Heather's dead. Later, Cora finds Dot busily sewing; intent on finishing Heather's wedding dress. Dot thinks every time she cares for someone they're taken away and throws Fat Boy out. |
