Summary[]
Pat's family continue to struggle to deal with their loss, but their troubles are far from over. Awkward questions from Morgan lead Whitney to go behind Bianca's back. Patrick offers Zainab the job at the Minute Mart.
Carol is impressed with David’s attitude towards Tiffany but, while Bianca reminds her of David’s tendency to run away, Carol isn’t so sure when she finds some property brochures of his. When Janine arrives at the Butchers a row breaks out between her and David. Janine accusing him of only being there because of the will. Lesley Coker, the funeral director, arrives to discuss the funeral. He describes Pat as one of the ‘Great Ladies of the East End.’ He offers the premier service, shocking David and Carol by totalling £15,000. Carol calls Max for help but David is unimpressed, prompting him to ask Janine for her help instead. Carol angers Derek by turning down his offer but he is left even more fuming when David enters with a cheque from Janine. Derek reminds David of his threat before leaving. David sits in Pat’s room and tells Carol that he doesn’t trust himself, to which Carol agrees. It’s not long however until they kiss before both declaring their love for each other. When Morgan asks some awkward questions regarding his skin colour and parentage, Bianca lies to him that his real dad is Barrack Obama. Whitney reprimands Bianca for lying, pointing out that Morgan’s real dad must owe Bianca a fortune in child support. Whitney takes it upon herself to contact Morgan’s dad, Ray Dixon, eventually managing to leave him a message. Zainab talks to Patrick about the staff vacancy at the Minute Mart but soon backtracks following an argument with Denise. Patrick plays peacemaker between the two women, asking them both separately to be the bigger person. When Zainab heads back to ask about the job it doesn’t take long for the pair to resume bickering until Denise points out that they have both been through so much lately but shouldn’t forget they are friends. |
