Summary[]

Sharon and Michelle share a bottle of wine, and their memories - one of which comes as a shock to Sharon.

Sharon goes to see Michelle in the launderette, where Michelle decides to go on a night out in the town, but Sharon then suggests that they should have a girls' night in at their flat. While Sharon goes to the shops to buy a bottle of wine, Michelle is doing her washing but a man then decides to steal Michelle's knickers, forcing Michelle, who is joined by Sharon, to give chase before giving up and therefore calling him a 'pervert'. Michelle then realises that she has left Vicki at the launderette, and her and Sharon go back in there for Vicki. After exiting the launderette, Michelle starts to tease Sharon about Simon, though Sharon herself tells her that she went to see Pat in an attempt to find out if she knew anything about Den.

Afterwards, Sharon and Michelle enter their flat and have some glasses of wine together whilst recalling the past relationships they had with various men. During their conversation, Sharon begins to wonder who Vicki's father really is as well as wanting to know who the girl that last saw Den at the canal was - making Michelle go coy - and also starts to feel guilty about not being there for Den. She also begins to get quite upset over the fact that both Den and Angie are no longer in her life, while Michelle comforts her and tells her that her and Vicki are her family. Eventually, when Sharon says that she'll pretend that Michelle and Vicki are her real family, Michelle decides to burst Sharon's bubble by telling her that she was the girl at the canal bank, before going on to say that Den was Vicki's father. At first, Sharon thinks of this as a joke, but then realises that Michelle wasn't joking. She angrily slaps Michelle in the face and walks out of the flat, before Michelle herself is able to persuade Sharon into coming back inside so that they can talk about the identity of Vicki's father, which Sharon herself does.

Sharon, feeling very angry, throws a glass at Michelle after not wanting another drink. An irate Sharon then goes on to accuse Michelle of having an affair with Den, but Michelle then admits that it was just the once, before stating that she wanted something that would be hers for the rest of her life. Throughout their emotional showdown, Michelle then states that she didn't have a minute to herself while living at her old home, but all Sharon is interested in is wanting to know where Vicki was conceived, to which Michelle admits that the conception took place in the Vic under the bar. Sharon then calls Michelle a 'slag' and accuses her of allowing herself to get pregnant by Den, but Michelle chooses to deny the accusation, claiming that she wanted to go away with Den and Vicki in order for Den to give himself up at the police station. Sharon, still in shock and feeling quite annoyed, angrily points out Michelle's selfishness, stating that she only married Lofty because she wanted someone to pay the bills, and then goes on to recall the time that Michelle aborted Lofty's baby. She even blames Michelle for Angie leaving Walford, but Michelle rightfully denies this.

Sharon then asks Michelle if she loved Den, but all Michelle chooses to do is deny the allegation, claiming that she didn't love Den. She also recalls the time when Den came to the hospital to see Michelle and Vicki and also says that he picked her up and she felt quite safe because it was what Michelle really wanted, before eventually confessing her love towards him, as well as speaking of his vulnerability towards her at the canal bank. Michelle also tells Sharon that Pauline found out about Den being Vicki's father and said that she slapped Den across the face after finding out who Vicki's father really was. But when Michelle tells Sharon that Vicki is her sister, Sharon rejects this by saying that she is adopted. Sharon then recalls the time where Den told her not to go through the same thing Michelle had gone through, before eventually going on to say that Den would always excuse himself from her in order to go and see Vicki, while Michelle herself tells her that Den loved her as if she were his own. Sharon then talks about the time when she went to Spain.

Still being angry with Michelle, Sharon tells her that she feels incredibly deceived by what has happened, before angrily pointing out Michelle's selfishness once again by stating that what Michelle did before and after Den's death was all to do with her and not Sharon, who ends her rant by telling Michelle that God will pay her back for this one day, before walking off to get her coat so that she can leave the flat. Michelle, who is beginning to cry, begs Sharon to stay, but Sharon herself is too upset to even change her mind about staying, stating that she no longer has anyone to look after her. As she is about to leave, Sharon grabs Michelle, who is still attempting to get Sharon to stay in the flat with her and Vicki, and pins her to the wall, tearfully telling Michelle that she shouldn't have told her about who Vicki's father was. Sharon then leaves the flat, but after walking out, she looks at the Queen Vic, the place where Vicki was conceived, before running off. A guilt-ridden and somewhat lonely Michelle, having unexpectedly managed to end her friendship with Sharon because of what she said to her about the identity of Vicki's father, breaks down in tears in the kitchen.
