Summary[]

Ronnie is thrown into a panic when Amy's disappearance forces her out in public and Christian and Syed fret as their meeting with the adoption agency doesn't go according to plan.


Roxy leaves Ronnie to look after Amy. A picture Amy's drawn of the family, including James, makes Ronnie emotional but when Ronnie leaves the room to compose herself Amy makes her way out of the flat in search of ice-cream. Ronnie panics and runs outside to get Amy. Kat's dismayed when she realises that Ronnie hasn't gone. Jack puts Amy to bed and tells Ronnie to get out. Ronnie appeals to him, reminding him that she found their baby dead. Later, Ronnie apologises to Jack, saying that she tried to give Tommy back and she knows it's all her fault. She tells him that she loves him. Picking up her bag, Jack tells her she's coming home.

Syed and Christian's adoption interview goes well - until they discover that their families will have to be interviewed as part of the process. Syed's convinced they'll never be allowed to adopt, but Christian hasn't given up hope.

Realising how much she'd like to go, Edward cancels his trip to the Ritz with Betty and persuades Dot to accompany him instead. Dot's thrilled. While Dot's getting ready, the phone rings - Jim's coming home that afternoon. Dreams shattered, Dot phones Edward and tells him she can't come.

Hungover, Ian refuses to hand over the café keys and accounts to Tanya. He puts the café prices up and sacks Carol. Tanya finds him smashing all the crockery and tells him to go and look after Bobby. Eventually, Ian gives in and leaves the café. He hands the keys to Carol, the newly appointed manager, then returns home, taking the 'Kathy's' sign with him.

In private, Zainab's cold to Masood, but in public she insists they act like a happy couple, walking arm in arm and having an awkward lunch with Denise and Yusef in the Vic.
