Alfie's managed to get an appointment at a private IVF clinic. During their appointment it becomes clear Kat's doesn't really want the treatment. Alfie realises things will never be right between them - their relationship's over. Edward apologises to Dot. She explains how ill going out makes Jim and how scared she is that one day it will be too much for him. Dot's touched to discover the boxing gym is named after Jim, but asks Carol if she was the last to know. Carol misunderstands and thinks Dot's talking about Whitney. Edward brings Dot some tapes. Dot breaks down and confesses how upset she is that the family didn't tell her about Whitney earlier – she could have helped. Taking pity on Ian, Fatboy claims to be impressed by his many businesses. Ian promptly invites Fatboy round for the evening to teach him everything he knows. Jane dresses up to go to the boxing gym opening but admits to Tanya that Ian not knowing where she was going was the best part of the evening. |
