Summary[]

Minty proves himself to Sam by making the ultimate commitment, Vanessa bonds with Abi, and Ian pines after his youth. Meanwhile, Christian finds Syed the perfect job.


Heather excitedly prepares for a zoo trip with George and Minty. Their plans are scuppered when Peggy, still furious with Minty for withholding Sam's pregnancy from her, demands that he convince Sam to see her. Minty visits Sam and tries to reason with her about Peggy, but Sam's unwavering. As she loses her temper, Sam suddenly collapses in pain. She's diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. As Minty again implores Sam to see her mother, Sam reveals that Peggy planned to frame her for Archie's murder. On learning the truth, Minty confronts Peggy for betraying Sam and refuses to mediate for her. Ricky's left gobsmacked when Minty reveals that Sam's pregnant with his child. Sceptical that the baby's his and fearful of Bianca's reaction, Ricky tells Minty he wants nothing to do with it. Sam's distraught on learning of Ricky's reaction and fears she can't have the baby alone. Confessing his love for her, Minty offers to marry Sam. To his shock, she accepts.

With Darren oblivious to her charms, Abi is crestfallen. Vanessa talks boys with her and encourages Abi to make her self noticed. They head to the salon for a makeover. Horrified on seeing Abi's new grown-up look, Max berates Vanessa for ruining his little girl. Reasoning with Max, Vanessa explains that Abi is growing up and Max must deal with it.

Curious to rediscover old friends, Ian joins social networking site, 'Matesgate' much to Lucy's horror. Ian's thrilled to reconnect with his old friend, Kelvin. Hearing of the great success Kelvin's made of himself, Ian's left re-evaluating his own life.

Uneasy at being unemployed and financially reliant on Christian, Syed reveals to a dubious Tamwar his plans to get back into the property business. Syed meets old contacts, but it's a disaster. Christian suggests Syed become his PA.
