Summary[]
Ian lends money to Ali, at a hefty interest rate. Shireen and her father come to blows about her future and her arranged marriage. D.I. Ashley introduces himself around the Square.

Pete gives Ian a driving lesson, but Ian does not want to pick up on his father's poor driving habits. Den returns to his original cell. He and Barnsey both plot their revenge for the other inmates. Colin makes the invitations for Carmel and Matthew's wedding. Shireen turns down babysitting work from Sharon for Vicki. Ian jokingly gives Pete a Highway Code book. Carmel and Matthew ask Ian to cater for them at the wedding. Simon pays for Cindy's drink at the Vic and then tells Pat he wants to make a go of things with her. Pat tells Simon to invite her round for a meal so that she can get to know her. Ian makes Cindy test him on the Highway Code. Kathy talks to Pauline about how she is trying to be like Lou too much. DI Ashley starts to familiarise himself with the residents of Walford. Ian finds Rod with a spliff - it is Donna's. Kathy and Pauline pick up on Pete's increasing alcohol consumption. DI Ashley asks Pete questions about Den. Johnny is remorseful for what he put Den through, but Den promises revenge. Ian tells Donna he cannot hire her. Pat tells Sharon about Den being let off by The Firm. Shireen tries talking to Ashraf about wanting to live her life the way she wants because they do not live in India and she never grew up there, but Ashraf tells Shireen she will continue to follow Indian culture despite not living there, and that her life has been arranged for her and she must accept it. |
