Summary[]

Archie becomes the hero of the day. Meanwhile Sean learns about Tracey's curse of the Vic. Ronnie discovers Max's dark side, Dot receives bad news about Clare and Ian turns the heat up on Masood.

Peggy pleads with Phil not to wallop Ben. Phil's furious and asks where she was when he was getting beaten by his dad. Ben locks himself in his room, but Phil kicks the door down. Archie races in - "You'll have to go through me first." Archie talks to Phil, man to man. They swap stories of childhood violence. Archie begs Phil to stop handing down the misery. He reveals that Phil's dad did care - he gave up the love of his life, Maureen, for Peggy and his boys. Having listened in, Ronnie asks Peggy about Maureen. Peggy's angry with Archie for reopening old wounds. Meanwhile, Phil tells Ben how sorry he is, and that he saw his dance and was really proud. They make peace. Fuming, Ronnie accuses Archie of manipulating the family. As she challenges him to leave, Peggy and Phil walk in. Phil thanks Archie for his help, and Peggy makes an announcement - the wedding's back on. Ronnie cries.

Concerned about Clare, Dot gives her a leaflet about becoming a Christian, but Clare rudely rejects her help. Later, Lucas spots the leaflet and tells her that drink, drugs and sex lead to a life of emptiness, without the Lord.

Ian orders a takeaway from Masood. He informs him that he's talked to the Post Office and found out it's forbidden for Masood to post leaflets on his round, but hasn't reported him, yet. In return, he wants to go into partnership.

Lucas has struck a chord. Clare buys Dot flowers and tries to pray, but Bradley bursts in and calls her a devious, grasping liar. Upset for a moment, the 'old' Clare kicks back in. She leaves Walford, with £200 of Bradley's cash.

Sharing a common bond of family dysfunction, Ronnie and Max get talking. Ronnie remarks that she feels like killing her dad. Max mutters darkly that he can't decide who he wants dead more - his unfaithful wife or his treacherous brother.
