Max bares his soul and swears that he's changed, but Tanya holds her ground. It's too late to start again. Max won't leave her alone, so Tanya blurts out that she's been seeing Jack. Stacey yells through the letterbox for Jean and Dot to let them out. Bradley reckons they've been locked in for a reason - to force them to talk. Stacey isn't keen and can't see what talking can achieve. Max is rocked by Tanya's confession. Abi's upset by their arguing, and Max is tempted to hurt Tanya by revealing what her mum and Uncle Jack have been up to. Instead, he storms out of the house and heads across the Square. Stacey doesn't know how to deal with Bradley's admission that he still loves her. She feels unworthy, but Bradley wants to know if she'll have him back. Stacey fears that she'll only let him down again. Max is seething with rage. Calmly, Jack tries to explain that he didn't mean for this to happen, but he's not sorry. Max flies at him and comes off worse as they brawl. Tanya enters as Max lies wounded, physically and emotionally. Tanya insists that she's in love with Jack now and there's no going back. Max plays his last card. He reveals that Tanya buried him alive. He's stunned when Jack claims he knows and reckons that Max deserved it. Bradley pushes Stacey to admit that she still cares. She does, but she can't imagine them getting back together. They leave the house - he had a spare key all along - and share a kiss. Max vows to take his revenge on Jack and Tanya. In the Square, he stands alone and tearful. Up ahead, he spots Bradley and Stacey embracing. He looks back through Jack's window, and sees him holding Tanya. |
