Summary[]

Tanya gets a big surprise at Abi's birthday party, while Bianca struggles to organise a birthday treat for Morgan. Jean is overexcited about a hot date, and Vinnie has an unusual plan to choose a new cab driver.

It's Abi's birthday and her party is being planned. Ian is providing the catering, Dot is baking a cake and Jack is decorating. Meanwhile, Abi's mind is elsewhere. There's only one person she wants to see today.

Zainab tries to maintain her cool as the Miller refugees take over her house. Her gripes are put on hold as Dawn makes a welcome return. Despite being on crutches, she won't let Summer out of her sight.

Clare worries Dot by deciding not to stay at Tanya's after the explosion. Later, Tanya berates Clare for not pulling her weight at the salon. Dot's perplexed by Clare's behaviour until she realises what day it is.

Jean leaves Ted a series of bumbling messages about their date, and then gets worked up over her outfit. Stacey comes to the rescue, and all seems well until she notices Jean hasn't taken her medication.

Bianca's promise of a birthday party for Morgan hits a snag - she's broke. Ian offers her some extra work, but she'll have to wait to be paid. Ricky comes to the rescue with some free meal vouchers.

Denise's prayers seem to have been answered when Pat posts an advert for a cab driver. Trouble is, Masood sees it too. Vinnie suggests a radio-controlled car race should determine who gets the job. Denise triumphs.

The dust has settled on the explosion, but Dawn is still distressed. She tells Shabnam she feels let down by Jase. He goes some way to make amends when he proposes to Dawn in front of everyone.

Abi's party is in full swing and it's time for the cake. Tanya brings it into a darkened living room. Abi blows out the candles and makes a wish. As she opens her eyes, Max strides in shamelessly and says "Happy Birthday babe!"
