Summary[]

Heather's happy day takes a dramatic turn, leaving Minty with a decision to make. Ronnie's upset to discover who Jack's taking to the wedding and Peggy forces Shirley to face up to the truth.


Heather's besieged by Marni's army of photographers and make-up artists. Minty's nowhere to be seen and Heather's worried that he's done a runner. She rushes out of the house with her face pack on. Hazel's seen the magazine article and wants Minty back. He's dubious at first, but she wins him round by proposing. Heather finds them and is gutted when Hazel declares that she's back in time to go through with the ceremony.

Peggy knows about Shirley's cancer scare and lays into her for not finding out the truth. Phil follows Shirley to the hospital to make sure she doesn't bail out again. Vinnie's frustrated as no one will tell him what's going on.

Sean tightens his hold over Gus by telling him where he can and can't go in Walford. Gus is at his wits' end.

A hungover Roxy's in disgrace for throwing up in the Vic. She seeks comfort in Sean's arms.

Dot tries to console a tearful Heather, but she feels humiliated and plans to return to her mum. Marni's panicking as the bride's gone missing. Everyone's gossiping about Hazel's return, while Garry's horrified by the increasing chaos.

Ronnie's miffed with Jack because he planned to go to the wedding with Tanya. He fumes that he never knows where he is with her. Later, there's a charged moment when Jack zips up Tanya's dress.

Dot explains that Heather's leaving Walford because she loves Minty and can't stand to see him marry Hazel. Minty had no idea Heather felt so strongly. He realises that Hazel's plans for the future are very different to his. Minty forces Heather's bus to stop. He yells that they have so much in common and Hazel's wrong for him. As the door opens, Minty gets down on one knee and asks Heather if she'll still marry him.
