Summary[]

A desperate Bianca returns to Albert Square, leaving Pat with a dilemma. Phil takes Shirley to the hospital for her biopsy results, and Gus meets an admirer.

Bianca arrives breathless and broke at Pat's house, having charged through the ticket barrier at Walford East and sent several people flying. Pat's cross that she didn't come to Frank's funeral.


The hospital has Shirley's biopsy results, but she's scared to find out the truth. Phil tries to reason with her, but Shirley snaps at him. Peggy wonders what they're whispering about.


Bianca's caught trying to pinch some money from Pat's purse. She's ashamed, and admits that her partner Tony's in prison and that social services have taken her kids. Pat's disappointed, but offers her help.


Ronnie's appalled when Jack suggests they come to an arrangement with the drug dealers at the club.


Meanwhile, Peggy confides in Dot that she's worried about Phil fancying Shirley.


Gus comes to the assistance of Winston's niece, Keisha, when Phil's car runs over her bags. She asks Gus if he's the poet she's heard about. Gus is defensive until he realises that she needs a lyricist to help with her music.


Heather prepares for the Vic's open mic night by singing excerpts from musicals. The plug's soon pulled, leaving Christian to interrogate Roxy about her night of passion with Sean.


Phil insists on taking Shirley to the hospital. She warns him not expect any gratitude, or to wait around for her. Phil grins and drives away, but Shirley hesitates about going inside.


Pat hugs a distraught Bianca as she breaks down and weeps. She agrees to stay, but only for a short while. When Bianca goes upstairs for a bath, Pat makes a secret phone call to Ricky.
