Desperate to try and gain some insight into Lucy's disappearance, Ian talks to Diane, who ran away as a teenager. Diane explains that people look out for each other on the streets, but it's little comfort to Ian. Back at the wake, Janine cruelly explodes at Pat, hitting out that at least she loved Frank, and that he loved her and always stood his neck out for. What Pat had with Frank didn't mean anything - she was just a passing fancy, as was Peggy. The housing officer explains that Bianca's failure to pay the rent could have rendered them intentionally homeless. Alarm bells start ringing for Bianca. As soon as she's alone, she does a runner. Upstairs at the Vic, Peggy apologizes to Pat for her prior harsh reflection on Pat and Frank's relationship. She assures Pat that Frank did care for her and that Janine is only hurting. Pat reflects that maybe she shouldn't have been so harsh on Janine's motives, and that after all her and Peggy went through with Frank, at least they ended up friends. Later, Pat agrees to pay a deposit on a Spanish villa. Encouraged by Clare, Chelsea follows up an address for her father, Lucas. She's shocked to find that it's a church, and Lucas is the preacher. Chelsea introduces herself, but runs off before he can react. Bianca trudges the streets with the kids. She confesses to Whitney that she ran away from the housing office, as she couldn't risk the children being taken from her. Bianca cries as they bed down at a bus stop for the night. |
